My point was that bouncing the bar off your chest and claiming "explosiveness" is a good way to injure yourself. You want from your chest explosiveness, do floor presses. I wasn't impressed with that bad form.

Yeah man, bouncing weight off your chest does nothing. You're essentially using the momentum from the bounce to push the weight off. It's actually cheating in the powerlifting world. You would get red-lighted for sure.

I know he's not a powerlifter, but even so, this is just terrible form. Especially when you are pushing it. You are really asking for an injury.
 
I benched it 27 times when I was in my 30's. 45 times is just insane.
