PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles’ offense was on fire during the first two drives of the team’s 20-14 divisional round loss to the New Orleans Saints in January. The Eagles built a 14-0 lead with 4:37 left in the first quarter.
The Eagles wouldn’t score again after that initial burst of efficiency. Center Jason Kelce thinks he knows why the offense failed to retain its momentum throughout the playoff matchup.
“I would argue, maybe, [we were] a hurt right guard away from getting back to the NFC Championship Game,” Kelce said Monday after returning to NovaCare Complex for the start of the offseason program.
