NHL playoff schedule:

first-rd-sched-NHL.png

Go Caps! Pretty amazing what they did, after carrying the league's worst record into the first few weeks of the abbreviated season - and still 10 points out in mid-March. Winning the division and looking dominant, at times, down the stretch. This new system under Adam Oates seems more mature and methodical than previous regimes . . . this could be the year.

That Caps run was impressive, for sure. Personally, I'll be rooting for Jarome Iginla to get the Cup he deserved in 2004.

Oh, and anyone but Vancouver. :9:

Once again, with the Oilers out (but not last!), I'll be cheering for whomever is playing against the 'Nucks. Should be some good 1st rd series this year.

Damn, I had quit watching. I didn't realize the Caps got back in it. I will have to pay attention to the playoffs. :9:

Did anyone else see that sweet fight in the Sens/Habs game last night? (I only watched about 10 minutes of that game - just in time for the melee).

Hockey!

I did. Was flipping back and forth on commercials. The end of that game was rather entertaining for a blowout.

dammit that game sucked. Caps were looking good in the 3rd period and couldn't get the puck in the net.

Didn't help that my DVR stopped with 5 minutes left in the 3rd.

The play has definitely equalized in the last two games. When the Caps are playing their game, I think they're clearly superior - but they get sloppy and the Rangers outscrap them all over the ice, which leads to great chances.

Two of those goals last night were pure negligence.

But this series has been fantastic - and I'm going to the game tomorrow night. My first Caps playoff game. Place should be nuts.

Toronto goalie James Reimer's wife is the brunette.
Toronto defenseman Dion Phaneuf's girlfriend is the blonde on the right (Elisha Cuthbert).

Phaneuf made a tactical error that led to the Bruins OT game winning goal...
