I would draft Joe Flacco in the 2nd round if he's available. If not, I would bank on drafting Andre Woodson in the 3rd. Even though we signed Brunnel, I don't see him being a good back up at his age. We need a young strong armed kid to learn from Drew.

How about a QB with our 4th? Wait we don't have a 4th which means we don't need a QB. There are too many quality defensive players in the second & third rounds to pick a offensive player muchless a QB.

I doubt Andre Woodson is available in the third round. Plus, we should be able to get some potential starters (preferably defense) in rounds two and three.

I don't think that QB is a need in anyway. Unless Tom Brady or Peyton Manning come available then I am not interested. If we draft one it would be at #10 BPA Brian Brohm if we think we can do a draft and trade deal. But thats a big risk and highly unlikely. Of course i didn't think we needed a WR last year in the first round either. So that shows you what I know.

I think many folks are gonna be surprised with how Tyler Palko develops.

Quite a few have already written him off based on what they saw in a few iffy preseason plays while disregarding the good plays he made and his very impressive pedigree.

I think it would be a waste of a draft pick...we got Brees (28) Brunell as his backup and Palko (24) as the understudy....we dont need to use a pick on a QB...we could bring in a UDFA.

Too many holes to fill on D and the O-line to address a position that is not a hole.

I also like a QB in the second or third, unless Payton is absolutely sold on Palko as the future backup.

I also like Woodson out of UK. I don't know what happened to make this guy drop like a rock in his draft stock, but the kid can ball. He shredded LSU, and made some other teams look silly. He was a heisman contender for most of the year and had a great year in a pro style offense. Does anyone know why he has dropped so far? I think he would be a good fit in our offense, but i would take him higher than the late third.

I read somewhere that his stock plummeted due to a poor senior bowl and pro day performance. Some projected him to fall into the lower rounds of the draft like 6th or 7th.

I don't know if Payton is absolutely sold on Tyler but I think it's common knowledge that Tyler is the guy that Sean picked for QB of the future grooming school that Sean is famous for.

Ouch. I remember a few pre-senior bowl mocks had him going to Baltimore at #8. It is amazing what one game and the combine can do to a player's stock.

Why waste that high of a pick on a backup? We signed Brunell(not happy about that one), and Palko is the young talent to develop. Drew is only 28 and could play 10 more years. I dont know why this question comes up so often. We need defense.

now wait a minute, i thought i just read a post from someone saying that we do have a 4th this year. Its next year that we dont. They said it was on NFL.com. This is really getting confusing. Do we have a 4th or dont we?

We dont have a 4th this year it's our 4th and a condtional third that could turn into a second. If it does turn into a second then we get the jet's 4th next year

I know Andre's stock has dropped, but I have no where read that he is projected to go in the 6th or 7th round, I still don't understand how an exhibition game can be judged so importantly, it's not like he hasn't been playing top level competition in the SEC his whole career, he also broke the NCAA record of most passes without a pick. But I agree with most here we don't need a QB yet.
