Ever since I got my computer fixed, I think the touch pad is extremely oversensitive. In the middle of a post (or worse, e-mail) my hand going too close to it causes me to start writing where the arrow is instead of continuing where I was writing. It is starting to drive me crazy. Thanks

The very first thing that you've gotta do is get your touchpad used to the brutality of the world. You CAN NOT LET YOUR TOUCHPAD CRY!!

Tell your touch pad to MAN UP! Man up touchpad. Don't be a d pad, be a touchpad.

Did you previously have tap to click turned off?

In the bottom right corner of your screen there should be a touchpad icon. Left click, choose pointing device properties, device settings, then settings. That's how mine is anyway.

While we're on the subject does anybody know how to change the sensitivity of how far the cursor moves in relation to your finger? I have to make two full passes on the touchpad to make one pass on the screen.

start>settings>control panel>mouse> you should see a tab for touchpad settings

It should be where you already mentioned. the Mouse applet in the Control Panel should also offer some settings, and it will also lead you to that icon's properties. If you dont see it, you may need to install the pointing device's manufacturer software (not to be confused with the computers maker, they are often not the same) to get full functionality.

It also my not be a setting labeled "sensativity" per sey. It may be called something else. My guess is it probably is.
