I know that we had to take permission from the 9ers to interview DONATELL and that was declined coz he is still under contract but if he wants to go and set the franchise free of the salary he is owed under the remainder of the contract then what are the stipulations?? ......

The NFL considers Head Coaches in a category all by themselves. However all assts, whether they are coordinators or position coaches are all considered assistants. There is a general feeling around the league that it is not my responsibility to staff your coaching staff. If someone is under contract he does not have to be let out of his contract to go somewhere else as an asst.
