It only takes a quick look to spot the most basic reason Saints tight end Jared Cook presents a matchup nightmare.

The 33-year-old is listed on the team roster at 6-foot-5 and 254 pounds, and a scan of his 2019 highlights reveals he's lost very little -- if any -- of the 4.49 combine speed he brought out of South Carolina in 2009.

But a deeper dive into Cook's first season in New Orleans paints a picture of a big-play machine that may have just scratched the surface of his potential in the Saints' offense.

First off Jared Cook isn’t a Te. To be classified as a Te you have to be able to block. Jared Cook couldn’t block my 92 year old grandma. He is a Wr, and very good one .
