It seems I thought that they would have gotten him by now. I wonder if being a Marine as something to do with it? The training I mean.

Anyways. Wonder how long it's gonna take to find him?

If Marine training had anything to do with what? Him evading capture or the brutal murder of another Marine?

I don't really think it has anything to do with training. Maybe some but IMO mostly not. If you really don't want to get caught, you could evade capture for a while.

Unless he's hiding in the backwoods ala Eric Rudolph, I doubt his Marine training has anything to do with eluding capture to this point. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see him captured before the weekend.

Yep. Plus, I'd like to know exactly what he does in the Corps. Not every Marine has had SERE training or any kind of survival training. I think he'll be caught soon.

I suspect they will find his body somewhere. Just a hunch but I don't think this guy is mentally stable and clearly it looks like he'll go to any lengths to not face the music for things he's done.

They'll find him in a hotel or bathroom or something else from suicide.

I've thought of that as well. He could take the coward's way out. Would not surprise me at all.

In other news relating to the subject, My BIL who is stationed at Camp Lejeune, told me that your friends and mine from The Westboro Baptist Church, will, or have done so already, protest the vigil for the WM who was murdered. Too bad my sniper rifle can't reach that far.

DevilDog is right.... There are many different occupations in the Corps. Yes, all Marines have to go thru initial "Bootcamp" and "SOI" (School of Infantry for us ol timers), but after that each marine will go on to their selected job duties..... In short, if his job was for an example a POG (Pencil Pusher somewhere in an office), his limited training for evasion and survivial wont really help him much.... Im predicting they will capture him before this weekend.

Interesting concepts guys...

I don;t think that they'll find him before the weekend though, Because he's already done a good amount of hiding and running. Now I know that they arn't giving away any leads, but so far to my knowledge, his last known whereabouts was a Bus from Shreveport to texas... That's kind of weak there in itself.

While I do agree that he is mentally unstable, I think it's gonna come down to a gun battle... Unless they find him sleeping.

It will be interesting how this pans out, but I am amazed that he has been able to evade folks this long.

and BTW Devildog.. You ever hear this phrase? "All the way from Forney Tx, where life is but a dream." - Amy B. - FM 96.9

I can't say that I've heard the phrase. Pretty cool, though.:9:

Now there's an article on the military.com site that says the family of the slain Marine is questioning why there was a slow sense of urgency investigating the crime and who did it. Not for me to say one way or the other but you've got to feel for the family. Now it looks as though he may get away with it. I wish I could get him in my sights. He'd be a goner.
