Are there applicable extradition laws? How much trouble will it be to get him here and exact justice?
A good lawyer might be able to cause trouble.
There has been trouble in the past, although it is rare. The Mexican Supreme Court has ruled that extradition be conditioned on the promise that no life sentence will be given. Since a Judge, or jury, decides terms of punishment in the United States no such assurance can be given.
Doesn't the prosecutor in those cases usually state that they will not seek the death penalty?
