The problem with our secondary isn't talent it's communication and positioning. Guys aren't working from the same play sheet. That TD was the safety and CB not playing the same coverage.

That's either on Dennis Allen or the "QB" of that secondary. Someone needs to step up and make sure everyone plays the field correctly.

A Patrick Peterson who plays coverage different than the safety will have the same results.

Agreed with the principle of the post. Patrick has more physical gifts to help overcome that of which you speak.

Honest question?
Who is the captain of the Secondary with Kenny and Roman gone? I’ve not thought about that.

Also lining up 20 yards off their fastest receiver didn’t seem to help one bit

Communication and positioning issues? With Patrick Peterson? Why does this idea keep getting thrown out there like Peterson is the same caliber player as our other CBs? If you have Peterson, you don't need safety help the same way. There's no communication issue. You say Patrick, "that's your guy". He's GOING to be in better position because he is a better player.

No offense to the young guys we have, but their talent is not the same "talent" as Peterson. The '96 Chicago Bulls ran the same offense that the '94 and '95 teams ran. It wasn't communication that kept those teams from winning championships. It was the caliber of the players on the court...one specifically. The triangle offense works masterfully with Jordan and Pippen or Kobe and Shaq, not so much with other guys. Let's stop acting like the Saints ailments couldn't be resolved with a Peterson caliber player. He would be a significant talent upgrade.

Well worded. I agree. Patrick is a generational player imo. He would require way less help from anyone and way less communication. Imo.
