We will probably have 25-30 this year. 40-50 is more typical most years.

My dad has six siblings and we still do the big extended family Thanksgiving every year. Between cousins and spouses and kids it got huge over time.

Christmas is the same.

That's pretty cool. I grew up around huge family gatherings like that with aunts, uncles and cousins. It was definitely fun times as a kid. But we've all grown apart over the years as everyone has moved away from each other. If proximity wasn't an issue, I have no doubt we'd still be having those big gatherings.
