Folks, we got 3 top 100 talents, and we also got our weekends back to do...well never mind about that.

Between returning nearly everyone from one of the greatest Saints teams ever assembled, we now have to find more spots for these 3 draft picks, our free agents, and whatever UDFA has the guts to fight it out for 2-3 spots (though that might be generous by a spot or two).

So why the long faces? We gave up all those picks, but who cares? Those other picks were going to fight more than an uphill battle, and we would have had more salary cap tied to them. This works out for all parties. Turn that frown upside down buttercup!

I scrambled right up until 6:59:59 P.M. to get all my mowing and weed-eating done today, so I would be free to watch us make those picks tomorrow, and this is how they repay me. Jerks! ;)

Well, if you can make you way to Houston I might have some lawn care you can take care of this weekend. I will even throw in some crawfish.

I look for most of our WR's to be let go before the season so 2 rookies there. 1-2 rookies for special teams. A speed rush rookie specialist for the DL. A rookie running back. So 7, maybe 8. We got killed by Minnesota a so-so team. Saints have lots of holes especially on offense.

As has been said, three.

Normally we kill it in the UDFA market but I suspect unless someone really impresses early or there's an unfortunate run of injuries, these guys will have a tough time making an impact this year given the current situation.

We did play poorly but I'd hardly say a game lost on a missed PI in overtime getting killed.. Yes we were fortunate to have made it to OT given how poorly we played but nonetheless... If they had to kick a FG we would have stolen that game

considering this offseason will be unlike any other
there will probably be very little time/opportunity for surprises - if we had Colston or PT as rookies this year they probably don't make the team

i would imagine 'self-starter' and 'picks up playbook quickly' were more valuable parts of the draft profile than usual

You can count on the Covid19 issue causing some of our players to show up out of shape and not ready to play. If anything this would be the best year for hungry rookies to make the team over lazier players.

That is exactly how I feel about the selections and going out and getting players they targeted. It would be a huge upset if any of those late round picks made the team anyway this year with the COVID limitations on practicing. Good move on the Saints part IMO.
