I'm trying to embed but only getting the red x of death... just click the link to see what I'm talking about

in my humble opinion... the field looks so much better when the end zones are painted in. I hope when Tulane moves to its new stadium the Saints will paint in the end zones again for regular season games like the old astroturf in those last years before they switched to the field turf

I was quite partial to the gold endzone used when we were in the SB. I think those same gold endzones would look great in the dome next season.
I was just thinking the other day how I wish they'd go back to the black painted endzones, but this, I like this much better.

Tho, I'd still prefer the black over the current unpainted endzones

I concur... either way is much much better than what is done currently with just SAINTS in black lettering with gold outlines and nothing else

I think fully-painted endzones look better, but on the other hand, players have slipped on the paint before, so less paint is probably better.

Unless it has been changed, there was actually a rule against having your whole endzone painted, but only if it was artificial turf. If you take a look around at the dome/fieldturf teams, none to this day have fully painted endzones for anything other than special occasions other than the colts.

Cowboys do... Giants & Jets both do... Panthers do it late in the season (after whatever bowl game they have there)... Chargers do (or at least did)... Raiders (after baseball season)

edit: whoops... you said specifically to artificial turf... but the 1st 3 still remain... there are enough teams to believe there is no such rule

plus why would the NFL break its own rule for the Super Bowl? the field crew doesn't even color in the end zones for the NO Bowl, Sugar Bowl or BCS Championship Games

and also, if there was an issue with slipping, why would they run that risk in the most important game of the year?
