I’m starting to think that Payton finishes his coaching career here. He’ll probably leave for a TV gig next, which hopefully is far down the road, but he may want to get into TV before he gets too old and he’s already 59y/o.

Just imagine being a head coach in the NFL. Exclusively only 32 jobs in the entire work world. Then imagine being lucky enough to work for an organization that not only gets out of your way, but it's fan base really wants you to stay. You get a popular dance named after you, and your locker room is peaceful. Then imagine saying I don't want this anymore. only retirement makes sense if he ain't gonna coach here no more.

I think he will at least finish this decade. He now has something to prove about his legacy. I’m sure he wants to show the world that he made Brees, not the other way around.

He'll go to 70 so he can maximize his So. Sec.
That extra 150 bucks a month makes a difference.

I've always said he'd leave or retire shortly after brees retired. Feel like he'd want a fresh start or new challenge. I hope he stays tho, purely my own speculation
