I don't like to feel like I'm jinxing anything and don't like to get ahead of myself. But it's also Christmas time too :covri: Things could be getting awfully expensive. I'm about to hit up Peter to pay off Paul and was looking to shred him. Not so fast. Should the Saints secure a #2 seed and win in the divisional playoff round, and should Chicago somehow lose, the NFC Championship Game [tm] would be right here in New Orleans, LA (/mick foley). No doubt tickets would be going in the > $500 range on the open market. But should we be fortunate enough to win that game, then there's travel, hotel and tickets in Miami. I'm thinking like $2,800-3,000 for that.

TV is great for games, but most of us have promised ourselves our entire lives that we would do anything to get to the Super Bowl should the Saints ever make it. Ditto for the NFC Championship game.

How far would you go, and how much would you pay?

Well I think several people have gotten 2 tickets for 2 playoff games for 400 dollars or so. I'd say thats probably about right if you buy them now.

As for the superbowl. Don't hold your breath on even getting a chance to buy tickets. From what I understand the Superbowl is pretty inaccessable to fans. Its mostly coporate sponsors and junk buying up tickets. Id say tickets would run you almost 10 grand to go to the superbowl.

Do season ticket holders get an opportunity to buy SB tickets if they make it that far? Boy, not being in this situation often brings up all kinds of questions not used to asking.

>>Trying to figure out a price to sell your tickets?

No. I was stupid about it. Because of Katrina and family related issues, I wasn't sure who was moving back to Louisiana and who I had to buy tickets for. So I waited too long and they sold out.

I am prepared to max out my credit card. So $7500.

I'd try to stay in budget with the NFC Championship game. Good chance i'd just hang out in New Orleans and not actually be able to make the game. Why?

Because i'm maxing out for the Super Bowl baby :D :D

Well crap. I guess that answers my previous question. :cussing:

Super Bowl tix are running between $2600-$7500 on Stubhub right now. That's only going to go up. :covri:

No you can buy tickets, it's just usually you have to buy them in the context of big expensive vacation packages. I know travel agencies buy up a lot of the tickets and sell "Super Bowl packages".

A vacation package to visit a city I live right next too  It's ok, it'll be worth it.

No way I can do $10,000. I could swing a few thousand, but 10 would bite me hard. I could do it, but I'd be paying that off pretty much forever (the way 10 grand becomes 50 grand). If that ends up being the case, then the question would be do I want to go to Miami for the game or stay here. It would probably be fun to go down to the Super Bowl and get a hotel on South Beach or something for that weekend ($$$$$$), but it would be insane (ak's popping off in the night) here in town too, and the party would probably last for the better part of 3 or 4 days (which I would work myself into drinking shape to handle).

This is tough cajunblaze.

I'v eheard that, too. That the SB atmosphere really isn't that great because most of the people in the stadium don't even cheer for either team.

You didn't say that (your location = blank). So that covers hotel expenses. Bring Spam some booze and seafood. Thanks in advance for the invitation.
