CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- New Orleans Saints wide receiver Willie Snead knew exactly who ratted him out when the word "Honeycomb" was mentioned on a conference call with reporters that cover the Carolina Panthers.

"Cam Newton," Snead said on Tuesday. "Cam Newton gave me that name when I was back in Carolina on their practice squad."

The NFL MVP, who refers to himself as the "Sensei of Nicknames," actually gave Snead two nicknames during the receiver's brief stay with the Panthers in 2014.

The other was "Duper," as in the other half of "Super Duper."

Newton provided that because Snead was such a good practice player.
