NEW ORLEANS — Start with this basic fact: Since 2006, the New Orleans Saints have had the same head coach (Sean Payton), offensive coordinator (Pete Carmichael) and quarterback (Drew Brees) in place.

The pieces around them have changed, but that trio has remained a constant for the last 13 seasons. And in their time together, they have made some beautiful offensive music.

Since the start of the 2006 season, the Saints rank No. 1 among NFL teams in total yards (83,660, nearly 3,000 yards ahead of the second-ranked Patriots), passing yards (60,891, more than 5,000 yards ahead of the second-ranked Patriots) and yards per play (6.04). Only the Patriots (6,111) have scored more points than New Orleans (5,801).
