I'll say this for the guy: He has a good sense of humor.

He clearly doesn't have any financial sense, however, if he thinks what he's doing is anything other than wasting money. McCain may choose a more conservative running mate, but it won't be one that is an ultra-conservative Baptist minister from the South.

I think it has more to do with positioning himself as spokesman/leader for a new "christian conservative coalition". A sort of 21st century Pat Robertson.
