Hypothetical: If we're 2-4 and lose to Denver on national TV, is DA fired? (1 Viewer)

As long as this team plays as hard as they have for DA in the first 4 games . DA is going nowhere like it or not. That option will not present itself at any point.

Luck Loo isn't firing his reclamation project mid-season. We will finish somewhere in the 7-9 win range as always. Not bad and not good.

And Loomis will be geeked out chewing gum again explaining how we have the next Bill Walsh coaching the team.

2.25 years of managing a team that has below league average talent. Besides having less than starters on the OL and TE, our depth is challenged. Thats on Loomis. Coaches can only coach the players in the building. You do realize we are 2 plays away from being 4-0. Thats how tight the margin of victor and success is in the NFL. Thats because this team has been well prepared and coached. They are putting players in a position to be successful, but coaches can't execute the plays.
So if we are 2 plays away from 4-0, then how do we have below average talent? You are contradicting yourself

No I'm not. Like I said, this team has been well coached and well prepared. Thats the difference. But, the more injuries stack up, the harder it will be. Coaching and prep will only take you so far. At some point, talent or lack thereof, will be the determining factor. All teams in the NFL are filled with great players who want to win. Wins are hard to come by when you lack quality and depth, add injuries and it's realy tough. It takes the perfect storm of talent, coaching and a little luck. We're taking our lumps right now but our coaching staff is enduring, the players are engaged and the team is competitive and trying to push through the challenges. Thats a positive and a sign of a stable and capable coaching staff.

So far through 4 games, we have destroyed two teams, and have lost two games by the slightest margin. We have performed almost exactly how an injury riddled team should have. Talent isn’t the issue bc if it was, then those last two games wouldn’t have been close. The problem is we can’t seem to win close games. That is not being prepared.

I undertand your position, disagree thoroughly. I think we (as in my and your discussion) are done. Enjoy your misery. I'm cautiously optimistic. We're in a good spot and if we can endure a few weeks, we can get right for the stretch run. We can't afford any more significant injuries though. Give this team another decent draft and the ability to add some veteran depth and they'll be real contenders next year.

What misery? Im not the one hollering about injuries, bad luck, or flukiness.

Again, you don't comprehend. Not shocking. I'm not complaining. I understand our challenges. I think Mickey is responsible for our issues, but I've complained about him for the last 5 years. I think he's finally invested in cleaning up our books and trying to build a sustainable roster again. We shall see. I'm giving him a fair chance to do so, but he doesn't get to pawn off his responsibility for where we are. I'm very happy with our coaches. I like the nucleus of our roster, but we need help. Life is good. Have a good night.
