I always said that Matt Ryan held the Falcons back (1 Viewer)

It was apparent when Matt Schaub came in 1 game and plastered over 500 yards of offense, something I doubt Ryan would of done.

Now FFWD to life without Ryan, Falcons actually look more competitive even with Mariota, while Ryan down in Indy has them 0-2, and completely shutout vs Jags.

I dont think we had to look too far where the problem with the Falcons was.

I disagree. Matt Ryan didn't hold them back lol.

Was he ever as good as Falcons fans claimed he was? No. He was very good, with one great year. He was never in that Brees/Rodgers/Brady/Manning tier though.

I haven't watched enough Colts highlights this year to see why he looks so bad but it sure seems like he's not having the Matt Stafford effect the Colts had hoped. Colts fans are probably frustrated at their "pickup a past his glory QB" method continuing to bite them in the butt. Long season to go though.
