I can't believe nobody has screamed this yet... (1 Viewer)

I disagree with the original poster. The fact is I don't think this team is anywhere near as good as they will be on defense. With a healthy Drew Brees I expect the offense to continue to roll.

I'm not saying it btw... only can't believe that no one else has :)

A great doom and gloom thread needs a great sound track

I can help.

Nothing, NOTHING is gloomier or doomier than O fortuna from Carmina Buruna

Or we could lighten up a bit

Well, two games is enough to start a trend, so we are trending towards 3 extra points scored per game and 5 less points allowed. So you go from the Lions game (45-27) to Eagles (48-22), by figuring in the trend, the Bills game should play out like this (51-17).

What this means is that by the end of the season, we will be averaging around 90 points a game and our defense will somehow be causing our opponents to score negative points, which means we can apply those points to our score in that game or future games. The commish will have to make a special "Saints rule" on how to deal with negative point treatment.

Or I could just say, no, I don't think we are peaking too early. This is reminiscent of the Patriots 07 run, so as long as it doesn't end like their run, I think we are in good shape right now. I do think this team should find a high school or intramural team to play during the bye week so we don't get out of rhythm.

Priceless.

WE ARE PEAKING TOO EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peaking too early??? We have not even come close to playing our best ball. We are not peaking too early, we are playing very well while ironing out the kinks.

I think our defense is going to take small steps of improving. We have not peaked yet.

The peak is the Super Bowl and being that it is not February, it is totally impossible for us to be peaking now.

I think we're gonna be unstoppable this year, We might drop a game to someone, but they way it looks now, you're gonna have to score 50 points to beat us... and our D can pick you off!

I think I'm peaking too early...
