I do not like games where the other team has nothing to lose. (1 Viewer)

If we, a team with legit super bowl aspirations and the current #1 seed, lose to a team who has no QB and is starting a guy who hasn’t taken a snap at QB in four years and took his first snaps at the position at practice/walkthrough Saturday evening, then you’ve got a lot more to worry about than just this game.

Those teams are dangerous when you let them hang around. If you pounce on them they lose all fight. Denver is not likely to be hanging around after the first quarter.

Get over it, we are winning by 3 scores.
exactly. Denver might look competent on offense for the first 15 scripted plays. A legitimate SB contender with a top 10 defense should be able to put away a QB-less team by halftime. We kept Ryan and a much better offense out of the end zone last week.

The Denver defense knows that the only chance they have in this game is if they play an outstanding game. The Broncos have likely been working on a short passing game that will allow the new guy to have some success — quick slants, drags and curls. He was not a bad passer at Wake Forest, so while it has been five years since he was behind center, he still has the skills to have at least some success. His highlights show accuracy and a nice deep ball. The Saints own a decided advantage in this game, but they still need to play against a team that beat Miami last week. The Saint still need to play good football.

We got the Brady Bay Bucs in our division. That right there is gonna keep this team focused.

Poor tackling can't happen and the coverage units on special teams need to excell. The Broncos will be very basic on offense most of the time but the def backs will still have to honor the pass as normal. Hill needs to keep fine tuning his game, this is actually an ideal situation.

When would they have had time to script 15 plays tho?

The dude was a WR 2 days ago... I don't care what your college highlight reel look like as you don't walk in off the street and excel at NFL QB. I don't expect this kid to do much of anything other then hand the ball off 40 times or scramble endlessly.

The biggest advantage is idc who you have at QB, to take a guy the night before your game against a team and say “you’re our starting QB” is a recipe for disaster. Even HOFs like Brees or Brady or Manning would struggle a bit because it is A LOT to have to learn in less than one day.

We’re facing a practice squad guy. The Broncos can play as safe as possible, it would still be a joke if DA doesn’t have their QB all out of sync by the end of the first half. Timing, blitz pick ups, audibles, their QB will be a deer in headlights.

Denver is going to want and likely be forced to just run run run and there’s no excuse for our defense to not thrive when that happens.

There’s no excuse to lose this game.

Taysom on the other hand needs to play a good game and the offense needs to make plays. Denver, if they want to win, is banking on their defense giving our offense fits and will be pressing hard for turnovers.
