I'm a very new Saints fan, started following them right before they signed Brees, and was SUCKED IN after that. My wife is from Baton Rougue, and it helped. I've always been a vagabon type NFL fan. Love the game, never had a team I cared for. Born and raised in NC, but could never get into the Panthers. Cheered for them in what was it... 04? 05? But never really cared.

I care now. I (as a lifeTIME Cubs fan) know about devotion. And i'm with this team to the end. What a time to learn about this wonderful site, and what a time to have this HAPPEN! Amazing.

Bottom line, you guys are the most classy group of people i've ever seen on a sports site or even in general. Very knowledgeable, and love their team so much.

Thank you for the past 8 months. :D

And here's to a great playoff run. :D

Cubs fan? Kindred spirits then. The Cubs are the MLB parallel of the Saints.

No matter what the future holds for this season, it has been (and will always be) significantly better with this forum of fans at our disposal than if we had to experience this amazing season alone.

This is my main source for Saints news and camaraderie! :9:

Thanks from me also! :ezbill:

Yes it has, after last year, and then this year......it was the ultimate low to the ultimate high...WOO HOOO GEAUX SAINTS !!!!

You have no idea! My sports years are the most frustrating, it Aint easy being a fan of both...especially when the years are mostly down than up! BUt it feels great right about now. The heart ache has been well worth it, cause right now it is the sweetest!

I think that's why I got so involved this offseason with the Saints. And once i'm devoted, it's all done. :D

I devoted myself to know WHAT i'm talking about as a fan. The last thing I would want to be in life is a "fan"... one of those people who like a team but can't even tell you the second string to any position.

And YOU my friend are one reason for this kind of a site!

This fan forum is comprised of folks who are by and large VERY knowledgable and EXTREMELY dedicated to this TEAM and have ridden out some very rouhg times to be a fan!

I myself, went through the last five years so heartbroken at the lack of leadership from our Coaches and a lot of the players that I was confronted with questioning just what being a fan was. How do I support my team when I so vehemently disapprove with the QB and the Coaches so much? Well, I chose to scream for heads to roll at every opportunity to save my TEAM. Others chose to continue to hope for the best with what we had but THAT is what being so heavily, emotionally invested in this team is all about. All of us discussing and disecting and evaluating to no end the elements of The NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!

So to you I say; "CONGRATULATIONS for being involved with such a tremendous TEAM this year and sharing in this wonderful experience!"

What a ride and it ain't over yet!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX SAINTS GEAUX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the "Who Dat Nation". We welcome all at any stage of your devotion to our Saints. It has been a long time coming and the success our boys are having could not have happened to a more deserving team or community. In all my years of following the Black & Gold, this is the most disciplined, well coached and well mannered team. We have had some awesome players over the years, but never the type of TEAM we have today. These guys are fantatstic on the field, but more important, they are fantastic off the field as contributors to the community. It is great to be a Saints fan and a fan of America's team!

Who Dat!

Thank you very much Haze, it is good to have you at this site also. I am a relative newbie to the site also, I lurked here from the time just after the draft and finally joined a couple months ago. But I am a life long Saints fan, my father took my brother and I to a couple of games at Tulane stadium and I've been hooked ever since. This year is the year that all us old fogies have dreamed about since day one. GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Cubbies fan? :D

I could not agree more. I have been a Saints fan for 10 years now, but I this is my first year here. This site has made this season twice as enjoyable as it would be normally.

A special thanks to LSSpam. Every day I look forward to the insight you provide. I know not everyone agrees with each other here all the time, but I find I am almost always following the same train of thought as you. I truly appreciate the time you put into your well thought out posts.

I got lucky I guess. But I just FELT that this team could be special. I feel that I could very well be called a "bandwagon" fan, but that just doesn't comprehend to me. I don't bandwagon. It just so happened that the team is doing MUCH better than I expected. Heck, if you look back I predicted in June or July that we would be 9-7. And that was a high choice at the time.
