I have an incredibly bad feeling about Jeremy Shockey (1 Viewer)

Shockey the best TE in football? Eh..... i am going to have to disagree strongly with that. But i think it is obvious that Shockey seems to have that mean streak that he had when he came into the league.
.

Crestor copied and pasted his first post from way back when we first got Shockey......

Why do you fools insist on adding "football"?? Don't you KNOW that already?

A long time ago, NY had two teams named the Giants. NY being a baseball town, the baseball Giants had top billing. So the other Giants were always referred to as the NY FOOTBALL Giants. And the term stuck, long after the baseball Giants left for San Francisco in 1957.

One word: WildShock.

YES! He throws the ball to himself!

Not many NYers know or care about anything outside of NYC.

True. I forget exactly what the situation was -- I think a hurricane was threatening the gulf coast or something like that -- and they were reporting it on the local NYC news. The headline went something like this: "Hurricane Sam threatens the lower Texas coast...and how this will affect us in our area, next on Channel 2 news". Every news story HAD to be connected to them in some way, and that bugged me to no end.

Brent Celek of the Eagles will be added to that list within the next year, maybe 2 years. He's playing on a whole different level this year.

True, but I can't comment on his blocking. Is he more a receiving TE at this point or is his game complete?

yeah I knew the background but it's kinda stupid that they still use it lol. Like it makes them more important.

he has improved a lot in his blocking, but he's far from the best in that area. We use him as more of a receiving TE. He's become a beast who won't go down without a fight.

Speaking of beasts, I hope shockey has the best game of his career on Sunday!!

Shockey's run blocking has improved a ton.

Shockey's biggest thing that caused issues in New York is he needs someone thats as bold as Drew Brees to lead him. Eli is a good leader, but he leads in a calm and quiet way. You dont see Eli getting in peoples faces if they blow it or get out of line. Everyone saw the very well publicized moment when Brees went off on Shockey last season, yet what doesnt get nearly as much recognition is just how well Shockey responded to that. Shockey loves the fact Drew Brees will get in your face if he needs to. Shockey needs a leader like Brees, he was clearly unhappy in New York and I think it was the fact he just couldnt buy into Eli's style of leadership. Shockey is a very emotional player and he wears it on his sleeve, and he needs a leader who is loud and as visibly passionate as he is.

Saints fans.. this is coming from a Giants fan..
<hr style="color: rgb(30, 33, 39); background-color: rgb(30, 33, 39);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> You guys truly don't know what you're in for this season. Jeremy Shockey is alot of things. Jeremy Shockey has been labeled a team cancer. That is the FARTHEST from the truth. You guys will see next year. As you guys will see, Jeremy Shockey likes to talk alot.

But bar none, Jeremy Shockey is the best all around TE in football. Now, I know right now that you will accuse me of being a homer... my boy Shockey's gone. I am just shocked.

And I know the Saints have a scatback that likes to run outside. Any real Giants fan knows that Shockey is easily one of the best blockers. And you would never guess his best block? Sealing the outside. You guys are in for a treat, enjoy.

Oh and in Shockey's best year (which was also his rookie year), Sean Payton specificially made the offense around Shockey. Shockey is a playmaker.

And trust me you guys will grow to love Shockey. He plays as if he is starving every game. With an era of players thinking they can't feed their family with 5 mill a year, you don't know how truly refreshing that is.

Shockey.. Have fun watching guys..

Did you dig this up from when we first got Shockey? It seems like deja vu as I know that I have seen this post before. Good stuff though..
