There were a lot of times I wondered if it would ever happen, even at only 40 years of age.

Don't forget to remember all the Saints fans who have gone on who waited for this day all their lives........

Hopefully they have a great seat for all of this!

Man, we are 1 game from the SUPER BOWL!

I was 13 when we finally beat the Jets that year in week 15. I felt like we had won the Super Bowl that day....... just because we had won a game.

We have come a long ways..........

Hopefully my 4 year old son is in store for a better team to follow than I had all those years.

I know what you mean...I remember the Philidelphia Eagles were the very first team
the Saints beat for their very first victory...I was twelve years old, a skinny little kid who was too darn small to play football in football crazy Arabi-Chalmette area...but I had my Saints, and Sunday afternoons at Tulane Stadium and latter at the Superdome, win or lose
I just hope my Dad and Uncle are up there somewhere smiling at all the good that is happening. THis is a great era for the people, city, and the entire region.

Thank You Saints!!!

Been through alot of thin with this team since 67. This is our time now.

This is only the beginning guys. Payton isn't going to have one good year and then rest on his laurels. I expect us to be competitive every year and for playoff runs to be the norm. What a great time to be a Saints' fan.

I'm kinda worried. I told my Titan friends that I didn't pull for the home team because I was a Saints fan long before we had the Titans and that I'd pull for the Titans if the Saints ever won a SB.

I guess my loophole could be that I didn't say I'd ONLY pull for the Titans.

Loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg time coming. Hope my Dad is watching from up above. He never got to see dem boys in the playoff's.

I was beginning to wonder if I would live long enough to see it. I'm one the original Saints fans and I say that with great pride. To all the others who watched Gilliam run that kickoff back, who watched junkie ball from Muncie and others in 79, remember drafting Archie Manning or how excited we all were when we hired Bum I know how great you're feeling today. When Hakim dropped the ball did you ever think that moment could be topped? This makes up for 1-15, Big Ben, Russel Erxlaben, losing the last game in 02 to Cleveland, trading Archie, and on and on and on.

Congratulations to all Saints fans and especially those of us who suffered through the 40 yrs of dissappointment, humiliation and heartbreak but never quit bleeding Black and Gold. Too bad Buddt couldn't be here to see it. He was one of us.

It's probably wrong to bump your own post but I'm doing it anyway. It got buried pretty quick and it's probably the most heartfelt post I've made here so.....
Bump
