All season long I haven't been able to root for the Saints. Part of that was because of the way Drew left and the animosity that engendered in Charger fans everywhere. Well, now it looks like the AFC representative will either be the most overexposed player in the NFL in Peyton Manning or the most arrogant, classless organization in football in the Patriots. I don't give a crap about the Bears. Drew Brees has earned my respect by proving me wrong this year and I'll be pulling for him and for the Saints to win the big one. And when that happens just try not to let your prior years of suffering turn into a bloated, unmanageable and very ugly superiority complex like Patriots fans. You guys will topple the Bears this weekend and in the SB you are going to surprise people. Best wishes on the remainder of the postseason!

Thunderstruck,

Sorry about the way you guys had to bow-out of the postseason; what a shame! We've felt the misery you felt in that game ...for the past 40 years! It certainly would have been nice to see the Saints vs. the Bolts.

Thanks for your well-wishes. And yes, we plan to take care of business this Sunday in the Windy City. Take care, man.

:gosaints:

I was pulling for the bolts as well I have grown tired of every year hearing about the Pats or the Colts. They have great teams that is for sure but year in & year out gets to be tiresomse to say the least. Thanks for the well wishes

I think the Saints could win the next 3 Superbowls and I still would feel humble. 40 years of mostly bad teams has a way of grounding you pretty well.

:)

I may be in trouble as I've had a bloated superiority complex my whole life with the Saints doing nothing.

I would love to be an arrogant *** to some Philly, Dallas and especially the Falcons fans that think they have a reason to be arrogant right now but for almost all the other fans it would be no different.

The way drew left...AJ as you should know is a moron and he gave him an offer that wouldnt have paid ryan leaf what he was worth...it hurt Drew to leave the Chargers, both the city and the other players esp LT. What would you do...take a for sure deal that was going to pay you what you were worth or a deal riddled with incentives and if's?

I am still a Charger fan...I went to 15 or so home games while I still lived in LA and it physically hurt me to watch us have a meltdown last night...however...knowing that the saints are still in it definately helps!!

I'm glad you were able to get over whatever kept you from wishing Brees well, and I know you will enjoy watching the saints, I have...and thats what turned me into a fan.

Thanks. We are going to give it our best shot. (bloated, unmanageable and very ugly
superiority complex) Not after 1 Super Bowl win, but maybe after 3! :) :)

Normally when you win a game like the Pats won yesterday, realistic fans will say, "hey, we escaped with one." Not Pats fans. To them, our ineptitude was all part of the plan. They knew we would commit 3 personal foul penalties, equalling our total for the entire season. They knew our receivers would get wide open and then drop 6 passes. They knew that Brady could throw 3 interceptions and a 4th that was flat out dropped but it wouldn't matter because we'd fumble one of them right back. They knew our punt returner who hadn't lost a fumble in two years would muff a punt and then make the cardinal sin of trying to pick it up and run with it instead of falling on it. They knew we would waste two timeouts in the stupidest possible ways.

Every way there is to give away a game we found it yesterday. It was SO disappointing because all season long we've won games by NOT making key mistakes late. But hey, Pats fans deserve to gloat, I guess. For their sakes I hope that's not their gameplan the rest of the way--turn the ball over 3 times and get pushed all over the field but still win on the virtue of the other team's mistakes and piss-poor two-minute defense.

Thunderstruck, man I was just thinking of you and never in a million years did I thought you would post here after what happened this weekend.

Props to you for manning up. A Saints/Chargers Superbowl would have been great, but those damn lucky *** Pats ... I hope Manning rips them a new one.

Sorry about the loss. You all deserved better, and so did Marty, because nobody can say he got too conservative yesterday. It was sort of spooky, part of Belichik's deal with Satan. Here's hoping your organization gets some stability and at some point LT can get a ring on the rare odd year we are not winning the Super Bowl. :hihi:

Sorry about you guys losing, especially with the talent you guys have. I was expecting to hear that old Marty had been fired by now. Marty has lost several playoffs with some talented teams as head coach.
