Brah, in the 80s men still wore short shorts. Also the 80s is about when the gay community started coming out of the closet more and more, which I'm just talking out of my *** here, but that is probably when men got self conscious about short shorts making them uncomfortable with their homo phobia as they tended to look at other men's legs. Men felt exposed, and objectified, and were scared of the gay "disease", so they killed the short shorts. Now short shorts on men are associated with homosexuality and shame.

Haha this. If it were a recent pic, fine. But I'm not gonna slag a guy over a pic from 30 years ago. Something tells me 2016 Mort has the same opinion on this pic as the OP does..

Interesting choice with the open midriff cut shirt though, given his lack of abs. "Ok Morty, we really want to show off that baby gut of yours..no no don't worry, just hike up your pants to just below your belly button to hide the bottom of your gut, no-one will notice.."
