I saw the signees from rookie camp, but what about Chase Thomas, Kevin Reddick, and Rod Sweeting? Were these guys already signed prior to rookie camp and that is why they are not being talked about after? Or were they not signed after camp, meaning, they are free to go elsewhere?

There was tons of conversation about Chase Thomas and how this guy did not get drafted and comparisons to some pretty big names out there.

The long drought of football after the Superbowl but before free agent signings and the draft always has me pumped to read about these can't miss gems that we find after the draft. I always get super excited that we found the next Deuce McAllister, Marquis Colston or the "Dome Patrol" without even having to draft them. Yet, it doesn't appear that they even made the roster for training camp.

Did I miss something?

Those guys were the priority UDFA's that had already been signed to the roster right after the draft.

The signings today (and yesterday) only pertained to players that were invited to camp for a "tryout" but hadn't been signed yet.

So I take it Norwood didn't get signed?

Not according to Loomis.

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday that the club has signed the following free agents to contracts following their participation in the club’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis: DE Baraka Atkins, WR Brent Leonard, DB Korey Lindsey, K Jose Maltos, RB Khiry Robinson and G Jeremiah Warren. The club has also waived RB Shawne Alston, CB Ryan Lacy and C Ryan Lee.

This depth chart has all the current players that are "under contract".

New Orleans Saints | Roster

So he's 6'0 220lbs and able to play special teams (KR/PR) he could challenge Cadet for that 4th RB spot...that will probably be inactive most of the time with all the linebackers we will have activated on game days now.
