My first orange julius was at Hammond Square.

What a dump that was.
Mine was Oakwood after leaving Kinnys shoe store. Then getting dragged thru Godchauxs.

Got my first pair of parachute pants at The Merry-Go-Round.I used to rock those bad boys with a sleeveless Panama Jack shirt...Man, I sure do miss 1984!

But the Gold Mine was on point.
Was that the arcade? (Not to be confused with the French Quarter bar).

I'm pretty sure the Gold Mine was the reason why we were even over there from Mandeville. I don't remember it specifically but I do remember there being a certain aura about it for my 12 year old self.

Yeah, that was the arcade. We used to drive from Covington to HSM quite often just to go there. I conquered many a game there...

What was that 80s candle shop there? Was before trendy stuff like Illuminations came along. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Yankee Candle, but I can't think of the chain name.
