How the future looks for the San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers still have to give the Saints permission to talk to him. They may not grant that permission, though it makes it certain he won't re-sign with the 9ers when his contract is up. I was surprised there wasn't something in the works before the 9ers left town after the Super Bowl. It would have been a perfect time to interview him. I suppose, however, that he would want to digest the loss first, so maybe not.
