I think we beat KC as per normal, we play up with the competition. IF we get ran through I'll worry.

So far, it seems Kubiak cannot adjust his game plan.

Both games, pressure off the middle disrupted the offense.

This game, the Saints offense also kept running that sweep to the short side of the field that gained no yards. No adjustment.

But other than Shaheed’s massive gaffe, it’s hard to find too much to be mad about. I liked the game plan. I liked (most of) the playcalling.

The injuries really suck. And we got a screen pass tipped 283 feet into the air. But the defense didn’t give up a single offensive touchdown. Need the pass rush to get better. But it’s hard to find too much fault.

Hopefully this loss doesn’t cost us anything meaningful. But I feel good about this team moving forward (if they can actually get reasonably healthy).

And at least Tampa or Atlanta will lose a division game next week

It’ll probably be another Dennis Allen Special (aka a heartbreaker). They’ll keep it close, take the lead late in the fourth, leave too much time on the clock, and Mahommes will Mahomme by hitting Mr. Taylor Swift for the game winning TD with seconds left. Then we’ll get all the fun here to talk about “moral victories”, lectures on why we should “relax”, and the injury excuse train……..I for one can’t wait…….

Let s be honest with ourselves. aren’t we outplaying what we thought this team would be in the preseason. i think we’re way better than what i though lol. injuries hurt cause this is def a playoff team healthy

At this point…. Yes. Because the consistent alternative has been if we leave anything more than 30 seconds on the clock…. The other team goes down and makes the game winning score. It’s not even a question of if at this point.

Kicking FGs early in the game instead of chasing points or being “aggressive” would also be helpful.

I think we're just about where I thought we would be but then I'm an optimistic fan. We ain't the league's best right but we certain sure aren't the worst.

I’m obviously being super cynical man….

The issue is we don’t kick the FG twice…. We leave points on the field twice. And we end up in that situation.

If you’re going to leave them a minute with no timeouts…. And we all know what happens to the Saints defense when you do that…. Either kick all the FGs, or run the clock down until it’s either you score or you lose. I mean, the alternative has been like clock work…. Leave points…. Scrabble and score…. Leave time…. Other team beats you.

It’s like the same bad movie
