They claim they don't need validation but they desperately want it as shown in how angry they are when they don't get it. Like all people they want to feel "normal". As with lots of people their emotional defense is to claim they don't care but generally human beings want to fit in with the rest of the herd and that only comes from acceptance.

It's an interesting dynamic in the gay community between those wanting "separate but equal" and those wanting full acceptance. It's very reminiscent of the Civil Rights movement of the 60's. The results in the long run will probably be the same as well.

I think theres a third component too, certainly not as well pronounced, but there nonetheless. My brother went to school with a guy who eventually came out after being in the army pre "dont ask dont tell" He was always railing about being able to marry legally whoever he wanted to, asin a male gay partner, even though he did not actually want to ever marry, because marriage sucks, in his words. My brother and I asked him why? why would you even care if your not ever gonna get married? His reply? "just to piss off all the breeders" He was very serious in this.and hes not alone.

The derogatory term gays use for heterosexuals is "breeders."

There was a piece in the news last summer about a lesbian couple harassing a man and his pregnant wife at a beach resort on the East Coast. The man took offense about the women hassling his wife and calling her a "breeder."

There's a lot of fatalistic cynicism there.

Those who justify their homosexuality by embracing the notion that the world is too horrible a place to have children are deceiving themselves, in my opinion. Harassing heterosexuals that do have children is an outward manifestation of self-loathing, I'd say.

"breeders" is also a term used by straights (more often males) to identify those of the opposite sex with mating potential (a/k/a good breeding stock). That could just be a Texas thang.

The term is also used by people (regardless of orientation) who think the planet is over populated, and those who want kids should just adopt a ready-made.

I think why they can't get along is because this is not the way God intended on people to live. God has the power to make you miserable when you don't live for Him. If people would follow God's laws and live by His word, they wouldn't be in these situations. Read in the King James Version Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13. Just read all of these chapters and see what God talks about homosexuals and the punishments. I am not trying to preach, just stating that living like this, man or woman, is wrong and that is why it doesn't work right. One more thing, ask yourself if you were to die right now, where would you spend eternity. Do you have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Have you ever asked God to come into your life and save you? I pray that you have. If not, I pray that you will.

Well I guess that I can now add that my Godson's parents have been embraced by everybody EXCEPT for their church. They are/were Lutheran but they were booted out because they are lesbian.

Their Son is also not welcome because he isn't using his considerable influence to turn them straight and break up his family. He's four years old by the way. Even if he wanted to do so I doubt that he could.

No but your claiming they argue because they are against God's will which doesn't mesh with the fact that 60% of hetero couples clearly argue too and that's just the ones that divorce.
