Something is up with Payton. He’s the only bye coach that didn’t have his team ready to answer the bell, and outside that nifty 11 minute drive in the third continued to struggle to find a string of plays that gets the offense moving.

There were too many 3rd and longs that required Thomas to be otherworldly to keep the drives going.
Yeah..the 11 minute drive ended up working in our favor and refs were a factor.

But at points he couldn't get the right run/pass mix or the right kind of run play to keep the drive going to a knock out TD. Overall he did stay with the run compared to how this kind of game might have gone 5 years ago. It was just certain situations of outsmarting ourselves again.

Odd how it was a similar thing with how the game against the Vikes started out last season before they came back from the big deficit...but that was on the road in a loud stadium so makes more sense...

I tell you one thing: Sean Payton would've been roasted had we lost that game. Those final plays on offense were not good at all.
Run Kamara up the middle on 3rd and 11, setting up a 50+ yard field goal.

Not good at all. We nearly lost thanks to Payton getting cute like that.

Definitely. Look we won the game. But sometimes Payton makes calls that leave you scratching your head. But I'd take him over anyone in the league.

It's almost like some people are still shocked that the Saints didn't blow it........so they have to think about what could have happened IF the Saints had blown it.

After playoff endings that involved Marshawn Lynch, Vernon Davis and Stephon Diggs doing what they did......why in the ever-loving **** should any so-called Saints fan try to wonder what could have happened if the other team didn't choke?

Because it’s not like the saints ended the game with self made play. It ended with the eagles driving down the field with a dropped ball. Then beathing themselves

I made this post for all those exact reasons (diggs, Lynch, etc). I’m not taking anything away for the saints and their plays made throughout the game.

There’s nothing wrong with asking what happens if alshon catches the ball.

Saints could get scored on. Saints could force them to a 4 and out. Saints could score again after they scored. Y’all gotta relax lol
