All I have heard and read about is how Revis is going to shut down Colston just like he did Moss and Johnson. Now lets say on Sunday Colston has a good game (7-9 catches 70 yards two TD) then does he start getting talks of being in that "Elite" status of WR along the lines of Randy Moss and Andre Johnson?

I know that most of us already think that he is an "Elite" WR, but do you think everybody catches on after this game if he has a good game?

If he has a good game people will see he had something like 7 Rec. - 80 Yards - 1 TD

But people who WATCH the game will see that Marques Colston will be catching most of those passes against Zone Coverage, over the middle, against Linebackers and Safeties.

This is the Marques Colston we know and love.

It won't be because he beat Reevis, it will be because Sean Payton has him going over the middle most of the time.

Also, the Saints like to move Marques Colston around, so it will depend on whether Rex Ryan wants to have Reevis follow Colston all over the field, since Lito Sheppard is probly going to be out this week.

I think this is a Jeremy Shockey/Lance Moore-type of game; Quick Passes to beat the Blitz.

He is in the group of 8 or so WR's who are not named Johnson, Johnson, Moss, or Fitzgerald, but are exceptional at what they do. To be in that Super-Elite group, you have to get on Espn catching the deep balls, and that is not Colston's role in this offense. Meach and Dev do that.

Colston is a different type of receiver, He has the basketball catch-high, spread-out in the air, box out type ability. Sure he can run good routes and catch the slant and get tough yards but to me he is the best at catching the high ball and using his body, and for that reason I think all the Jets fans thinking that Revis is definitely going to shut down Colston are going to far with their suppositions. For instance that back shoulder catch Colston had against the Eagles it doesn't matter who you are your are not going to stop that pass especially when your under six feet tall.

I think that Payton will make it a point to get the ball to Colston 8-10 times during the game so that people will know, though Payton would never say it, that Revis stopped Johnson and Moss but couldn't shut down Colston!! HOW 'BOUT THAT!!

I don't think Revis will completely shut down Colston. Colston is young and has lots of range. Revis will be on him but it won't matter that much because Brees will hit the bullseye and only Colston can catch it!
