"If he didn't know, he should have" (1 Viewer)

Well, yeah. I remember something about ignorance not being an excuse back in 2012. My, how things change when the shoe's on the other foot.

No he wasn't. He turned and saw the whole thing.

Exactly. He is a bold faced liar claiming not to have seen the play. If you watch the video, it's clear he's following the ball all the way to the end of the play. He's only denying seeing the play because he's towing the company line.

Video has established that Vinovich is a liar. Also, go listen to Rich Eisen's interview of Mike Pereira on the home page. Pereira says that officials are trained to "follow the ball" after it leaves the QB's hand, and that's exactly what Vinovich did. He saw what happened, no doubt. However, it was not his call to make. I have never seen the head ref call PI on a throw down field. But he's still a liar.

I posted about this exact thing on Facebook Monday. It's nuts! Jim Rome pointed out this hypocrisy.

Jim Rome, love him or hate him, usually doesn't hold back when it comes to sheet like this. And I'm glad he didn't. Every single person in the world who was watching that game saw the play (and so did Vinovich if you trust your own eyes) and called for a flag IN REAL TIME. Screw Vinovich and that entire crew. I hope we get him for a home game next year and he gets harassed to the point that he needs a police escort to leave the city.

Rome had a much longer and great take on the whole situation. I didn't want to post the whole thing, but it is definitely worth the watch if you have access to his show.
