So if Payton decided to bring back JG, would you (as a fan) forgive him and welcome him back?

The Pro to this move is that he'll come cheap and he has experience with the Saints. Also, he and Cam were the last two ends to have double digit sacks together.

The Con to this move is some fans will still remember the negativity that happened after his departure. Also he's been out of football for a year, so you'll have some rust to deal with and he may not be a full-time starter.

I'm honestly shocked by most of the responses. From what I gather around the SR community, most posters agree and support the coaches and players apart of the Saints. So if JG came back, it would be interesting to see many of you turn you back on him.
Junior Gallette doesn’t deserve an once of fan support or loyalty.

He was incredibly disrespectful to the team and fans after he left and his behavior off the field has been horrible.

I agree. I didn't like his attitude once he left either. I will agree that his lack of self-control cost him a few things in the league, but what made me thought about it was the fact that he and Coach cleared everything up and maybe he "grew" on from that stage.

I'm all about giving people second chances when they've demonstrated awareness and change of their behavior. Having said that, his recent-ish "remorseful" comments clearly demonstrate that he just doesn't get it and he probably never will. He's only sorry because his career is slipping away and he's not getting paid. Like Michael Bennett (another cat with more than a few loose wires) he's simply a bad person and is un-supportable even if wearing the Black & Gold. Unlike Michael Bennett, he's not even a decent football player anymore.

Extreme pass. Keep him away.

Sometimes it takes hitting rock-bottom to understand the consequences of your decisions.

What type of business do folks think this is? We've moved on and there are better options out there then him.

Can someone close and lock this thread? I feel like this is trolling.
Such a ridiculous post...and then the OP has the nerve to say that he doesn't understand why Saints fans turned our backs on Junior? Get out of here with that nonsense....
Classic post from OP. I mean you should expect this whenever you click on OP's threads.. 🤣

Chris - Rsmith posts a lot of quality stuff on SR. He may not have in-depth memory of what Junya did. And I have not seen Rsmith post anything like trolling. I say that we give him a pass on this one

The Saints counted on Gallette. He failed us, betrayed us, and burdened us with dead money that set the whole franchise back for years.
He was so bad that the Saints purposefully set themselves back by cutting him just so that they could actually move forward in the future without his toxicity around the team.

I know it's not a popular post or topic, but if JG truly changed and if Coach forgave him and decided to bring him back (which probably won't happen), then it's something to think about.
If we sat the drama aside and think about it from a football aspect, then I believe it's not a bad deal if the Robert Quinn situation falls through.

Well, perhaps he needs to fall a little further. He doesn't get it.
I haven't followed his social media in depth since the situation, but as of lately, the only thing he appears to be upset about is the fact that his agent told him to turn down a contract extension and hit free agency, only to find out that nothing existed out there for him. In all honesty, I would be upset too.
