as most of us think they are, getting better against the run should be easy. We obviously don't have the players to be a great defense, but with a little more discipline (i.e. not over-pursuing) the big plays on bounces to the outside can be stopped.
 
You can have the best coaches in the world, but if the guys across from you are better, there's no scheme that can hide that. The only way our run defense will get better is if the front seven and Stoutmire get better.

We were not out-schemed at any point vs. Pitt., we just got beat!
 
It wasn't that their guys were better... Our guys just weren't staying where they should have been. They were all running to the middle of the field leaving no-one to contain the run to the outside.
