Why would you want DRC over Sheppard PLUS a 1st round pick? Lito is a prooven STUD CB. I think DRC has great potential, but I choose prooven YOUNG talent over unprooven rookie all day. I think we could still land a very good player at 19. Especially since many of the picks between 10 and 19 will be offensive. We have so many needs...why not?

But then again, I think we should trade up with the Jets or NE to grab Ellis or Dorsey. But with the draft this way and the opppurtunity to get Lito and a #1....no brainer!

I would love the trade, but just trying to be realistic. I just dont see it happening. I dont think we could afford him, especially with Smith, Marques Colston and Jahri Evans looking for extensions.

The only two picks worth it are Albert and Rivers. Otherwise it's a reach.

I voted trade back and get Lito. It was a choice, even if it can or cannot actually happen...

Rivers is a more athletic Shanle. McKelvin is about the 5th or sixth best CB. DRC can be the shutdown CB the Saints have never had.

I would say that Rivers is ALOT more athletic than Shanle. As a matter of a fact, the difference is huge. Shanle is like a 6 year vet and Rivers could realistically supplant him in TC.

DRC may end up being the pick. I have a bad feeling about taking him so high, but I guess he can't possibly do worse than Jason David. IMO, I see alot of similarities between him and Usama Young. Both have great measurables but will take extra time to adjust to NFL WRs.
Usama Young ran like a 4.37 and jumped like 42", but Joey Galloway head faked him 5 yards out of his coverage and humiliated him with a long TD. We can get a more NFL ready CB in the 2nd or 3rd IMHO.

19 is about where I have them going, we get lito , pick k philips and trade #2 for shockey.

i like this idea. keep getting players or picks and end up getting connor in the 20's
