I think they would become a playoff team if he becomes their head coach. Browns have some solid pieces on defense that he can work with.

Gonna take a special kind of QB whisperer to get the most out of Baker Mayfield.

Because he’s simply not that good and the league knows it, despite media touting him as a HC.

I really wish we had made an effort to keep Nolan instead of him.
true

Dennis Allen’s record as Raiders Head Coach -

2012 4-12
2013 4-12
2014 0-4 (he was fired after his fourth loss)

After some terrific performances earlier this season Allen’s D faded down the stretch and finished 14th overall in scoring. Allen’s D also has the habit of giving up big plays at crucial moments.

This is not the resume of a guy you want as a HC.

It's a resume for the Browns FO though. :funny1:

I remember after the Ravens game that i claim we will never win a Superbowl with Dennis Allen and his last minute gaffs.

Let's look at the list
Bucs 17( Effect seeding)
Vikings 17
Rams 18( Long bomb to tie the game)
SF 19
Viking 19

He's great at beating bad teams and that's about it.

What you are not taking into account was the situation in Oakland when he got there. Under Al Davis and then Hue Jackson the cap was so mismanaged with bad contracts they had to release players and take even bigger cap hits in order to get the cap under control. That took 2 years to get under control and start to get better players.

Come on people. If Marvellous Marv Lewis can get an interview for doing nothing in 16 seasons then anyone can get an interview. Also lets not forget that Allen was HC when Al Davis was still alive and messing that franchise up. Who did Jerry Jones taken lessons from, Al Davis.
