Depends what you like.

For me, I like to hear about the X's and O's of the game and Archie is/was far superior to Hokie in this aspect. Hokie, on the other hand, sounds like a fan in the booth which is ok for about a quarter, IMO.

I don't want the person calling the game to sound like one of my goofball friends, but that's just me. Another thing, Hokie never seems to have a hard stance with his opinion, it's always "blah, blah, blah, but no ones really asking my opinion so it doesn't matter". Someone needs to tell Hokie, it's ok to have an opinion.

edit: Never mind, I mis-read "beside Jim" as "besides Jim" as in "instead of Jim", which is certainly not what you meant, right? RIGHT?
