At least Vannett is active this week. Last week was even more of a head-scratcher.

I believe Philly is 32nd against the tight end. I wonder if that means Vannett will have a big role?

True, but our other active tight ends seem to have problems catching the ball. Either way, we need blocking help with both tables out.

Coach Payton must be trying to lose. Why would you have your best catching tight end inactive and the worst one active.

Actually, he's not the best catching TE. That would be Trautman for tEs with more than 10 targets.

Because Johnson can't block and is a TE you split out. Not an inline blocker. When you are missing your starting RT and LT, that means that you often need to keep your TE in line to help protect your very questionable starting Tackles. Juan Johnson is not a guy who can do that. He's the guy you use when you want to spread a team out and protect with 5 instead of doing Max Protect which was what we really had to do today.
