The Ozzy version video is about 1 sec behind the Judas Priest one. I managed to sync them up and it was magical!

Okay... it's been brought to my attention a few times on this thread that there is quite a difference between a 'cover' song and a 'tribute'. I've reminded people how impressed I am to see (and hear) to a good tribute band that can replicate the old songs just as the originals. While it may not be 'art' in the truest sense of the word, I do believe it takes some real skill to get the sound just right.

As a result, I few years back as a hobby I began to try and replicate the vocals of many old songs that I enjoyed from the past and/or any vocals that I consider to be a challenge to cover. I began with songs that featured vocal harmonies (lots of Beatles stuff) and moved into solo stuff attempting to cover familiar singers using their own unique style.

Since I'm not accomplished enough on guitar, keyboards, or drums to create my own music tracks, I rely on good vocal-free tracks from several different websites to produce my recordings. This latest attempt is a vocal tribute to Geddy Lee as he performed the song Tom Sawyer. Since I believe that most everyone knows the original song, I'm not including a video of the original song in this post, but hopefully my efforts here was able to capture his vocal skills in my tribute in much the same way that you remember it.

Different type of cover, but still incredible. ;)

Okay, I'm at it again. I tried my first cover of a Bowie song. One right channel track for the lead vocal and one left channel track for the harmony.
It's sung to the original studio music track, so it should sound familiar. Hope you like it.

I love the cover of Hotel California by the Gipsy Kings. Spanish, but the guitar work is wonderful. Didn't read all 24 pages, so apologies if this is a repeat. I'm a sucker for Latin Music, and I think this is better than the Eagles YMMV.

They keep taking down their Spanish version, but here is a tribute to the Gipsy Kings cover. :covri:

And this is the Kings doing it in English, which is a pale imitation of their Spanish version. If you have a streaming service, check out the Spanish audio. I know you can hear it through Alexa.

Bill I love down alternative comforters.
Love the style and simple elegance, and the feel.

That’s my favorite cover.
