Two sources within FBI told Fox News on Wednesday that the investigation of the Clinton Foundation is likely to lead to an indictment.

Fox News' Bret Baier said Wednesday that the FBI probe into a possible pay-to-play scheme between Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation has been going on for over a year.

Sources told the news network that the investigation, which is conducted by the White Collar Crime division of the FBI, is a "very high priority."

One source further stated that the bureau collected "a lot of" evidence, adding that "there is an avalanche of new information coming every day."

Baier also said that the Clinton Foundation probe is more expansive than previously thought, and that many individuals have been interviewed several times throughout the course of the investigation.

Sources said that they are "actively and aggressively pursuing this case" and that investigations are likely to continue.

Baier added that when he pressed the sources about the details of both probes, they told him that they are likely to lead to an indictment.

Additionally, Baier reported that according to Fox News' sources, Clinton's private email server had been breached by at least five foreign intelligence hackers. FBI Director James Comey said in July that he could not say definitively whether her server had been breached.

I posted this in another thread, but it's more relevant here:
Good segment from the Young Turks talking about the email that shows them discussing exactly how the the corruption and the pay to play worked at the Clinton Foundation.

This one doesn't pass the sniff test. If it were legit it would be all over the news, everywhere. It's just not. Sources are not named, information is hearsay. This and the Fox News story it references have both been out over 24 hours and no reliable news sources have even mentioned it.

Plus, it says "an indictment". It doesn't say who is supposedly facing an indictment. There have to be hundreds of people in those emails.

This whole deal just reeks of speculation and laughable agenda-driven "reporting". We need to rise above this kind of nonsense, I don't care what side of the political spectrum you support.

Because the FBI is not supposed to comment about ongoing investigations. There hasn't been enough evidence to indict yet. As it is there is only 2 anonymous sources to talk to a reporter about this. That's why you aren't hearing about it.

Doesn't mean there isn't something there, but it's not likely to be a "story" until either more reporters get different sources saying the same thing, or there's an official announcement.

This is the problem Republicans have with all their investigations of the Clintons... even if there is actually something there, we're likely to ignore it because it just fades into all the other noise.

You also aren't hearing a whole lot about the FBI probes into Trump about possible connections to Russia -- there have been a few unsourced leaks recently, but you aren't likely to hear anything official unless something concrete is found and an indictment is made... as it should be.

If it's real, it's crazy we're getting this so late in the game. Less than a week before the election, and with millions of votes already cast. I don't think it changes the outcome, but it will certainly raise questions about how people are handling all of this.

There's just so much to digest it's unreal. Really disappointing that both candidates have so many issues with questionable ethics. The 2 political parties completely suck right now. Meh.

I get that and understand it, but this is stuff that's been ongoing for a while now. Maybe they've recently come up with new information, but it just seems convenient/inconvenient for this to be happening so close to the election. I'm surprised that the FBI and DOJ would have this flurry of activity going on. They really shouldn't be commenting at all within 60 days of an election unless they actually come out with an indictment. I think Comey has handled this whole thing poorly IMO.

So what happens if the President elect is indicted?

While president she would be immune from prosecution.

She also couldn't be impeached for it, because it happened before she took office.
