We all knew he as pretty much drafted to try out in the Hill role, but this does make one wonder how well or how much the saints put an emphasis on developing players.
Who cares about him? He was never going to be a full time QB. He should have never been drafted.

agreed. but, the real question is. can the saints develop someone like say... Richardson? a guy with the tools, but not the coaching and experience.

Don't see the comparison to Tommy Stephens. Stephens is irrelevant. Not sure if the Saints can develop Richardson or not. However, they need to do something to get a young QB in this organization. The position is way too important to keep ignoring it.

not really comparing the players, more questioning the ability of the saints coaches to develop talent in general.

So the writer says:
Not giving talent a chance to shine at the position they are most familiar with is questionable,
Right after showing he washed out of the leagye

There has been no QB that has succeeded without that and I'm one who believes that coaching/scheming is more impactful to QB success than just talent. Was talking about this in the "motion" thread how the people love Mahomes but ignore the fact that the Chiefs offense is schemed to perfection. Imagine being bottom 5 in YBC but top 5 in big plays. That's called the "system." lol

Did y’all see the tweet he was responding to?
It was laughable.

I will never forget how the #Saints pass on Dak Prescott 2016 draft Patrick Mahomes 2017 draft Lamar Jackson 2018 draft Josh Allen Kyler Murray for wanna be taysom Hill clone in Tommy Stevens and since then Drew Brees retires #Saints has never found a true franchise QB

My favorite Tommy Stevens memory was SP giving away a future draft pick just so he didn’t sign with Carolina as a UDFA, then losing him to Carolina after we cut him anyway.

Oh, and then Carolina playing him against us in the finale as an even bigger middle finger.
