Need some help with an iPhone issue.

So I have all my phone numbers on my iPhone, but not in iTunes. Recently I ran an iTunes update while my iPhone was plugged in and it automatically synced my address book. For some reason it deleted every single phone number in the iPhone, although it kept my email contacts.

Anyone have any idea why this happened and how I might be able to go about retrieving my phone numbers?

Next time you hook up your iphone, click on the iPhone in iTunes. Click on the Contacts tab. Make sure either the specific group of contacts you want synched are checked or All Contacts is checked. Hit apply.
