Coach Pete heard from a Saints coach that the Dez injury was a really bad injury and there is doubt, even if Dez totally commits himself, that he would be able to recover at his age.

I think Thomas, Ginn, Meredith, Smith and possibly a draft pick is your day 1 group. If he's able to come back strong from his injury, I think he'll be on speed dial should something happen.
