Well, I don't trust Coach when it comes to injuries. Drew could have had a complete lung transplant and he would say Drew has a light cough.

I think that’s also one of the benefits of IR. Coach can basically ignore Drew’s injury in the media. So unless someone is speaking directly to Drew about it, we won’t get any updates - good or bad.

When Ed Werder starts tweeting about it - then we’ll know what’s up.

Until I see a video of Brees tossing a ball lightly, I'll assume its 2-3 more weeks at a minimum. There's really no need to rush. Its looking more and more like there won't be a bye week in the playoffs anyway. If Brees is 90-95% by playoffs, I think we roll.

But a tough sack before he is healed and he is done.

Any hope for a rapid recovery from all of those injuries sounds extremely optimistic. He should absolutely not be rushed back regardless of the consequences for the team.
