Is the Ravens defense really that good? (1 Viewer)

I think you might be trying to find ways why they are bad, when they just simply are a good defense.

Ray Lewis if not the best LB in the game, is still in the top 3.

Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle combine one of the best cornerback tandems in the league.

Ed Reed if not the best SS in the game, he definatly is in the top 3.

And I didn't even mention that defensive line.

they definatly are worthy of the #3 defense.

You could say the same thing about our offense.
Look at the defenses we have played.

Cleveland (22nd)
Green Bay (32nd)
Atlanta (20th)
Carolina (17th)
Tampa Bay (27th)
Philadelphia (16th).

We have not played one team with a defense ranked in the top half of the league.

Technically, Philly at 16th IS in the top half (1-16, 17-32). And if it weren't for the Saints, both Philly and Carolina WOULD be in the top half ;). But point taken.

I'd be delighted to win this game 12-10.

We cannot make the same mistake we made against Carolina by not running the ball enough. We must make them respect the fact that we will run the ball no matter what and even if all we get are 2-3 yards per run, it still makes the play action work. Besides, if we get 2 yards and then another 2-3 yards, it's 3rd and 5 or 6 yards and that's pretty easy to make.
