I'm just wondering if the screen game is slowly returning. I saw two very successful screens today--one to Mark Ingram that went for a TD and another to Josh Hill for a long gain. (Brees and Hill did a brilliant job of selling that one.)

Thoughts?

I think the screen was dx by opposing DCs because we became super predictable in usage and formation. When I, a layman, could call the screens with a fair amount of accuracy depending on down, distance, and formation, I could only imagine people whose livelihood depends on dx offensive plays, should be able to with regularity.

I think now, we are starting to mix things up, which is helping.

Screen passes are the weakness of Gregg Williams defenses. Sean knew it and exploited it.

That, and mysteriously Gregg Williams has never figured out that opposing teams have TEs. But a lot of it was catching them in blitzes. Also, the two big ones yesterday were extremely well-executed.

I wouldn't say it's "back" yet, but it was nice to see.

All I know is, if we HAVE to run a bubble screen. Throw it to Michael Thomas. That guys has the greatest chance to get some yards out of anyone.
