He didn't pick his coaching staff. That's what continuity means. He also didn't pick his medical staff and the medical staff doesn't cause injuries.
You cannot win with half your money on the sidelines.
Your argument about his record in Oakland is silly. He had a terrible team. Terrible structure and he was young and unqualified. He may still be, but you sure can't judge him on this year.
He didn't have Kamarra fumble away a game. And, some of his "signature losses" were very close due to dumb fool players.
I think some of that is cyclical too. Turnovers and ball security is definitely a key part of every team's training camp. Some teams will be at or near the top of the league one season and near the bottom the next and no change in coaching. That's how it goes sometimes.I think your initial points are good ones, I think Loomis and saints management is in charge of the medical staff and what he did with the Raiders is not as big a factor as some think it is….they were a terrible organization when he was there….
BUT - you can win with injuries, CSP proved that last year…
And while he didnt have Kamara fumble away a game it is clear to me (and others) that the Saints did not stress the fundamentals of ball security in the off season as they have done in the past….
Last many of the same players and turnovers were not a huge issue, this year they have directly led to losses….what has changed? The coaching staff shares the blame in turnover ratio….

Eh, that's just cherry picking. All of them took a year or a few years to really gel and become solid contenders. The front office for those teams have stuck with them through some ups and downs. Proof that sometimes patience and playing to long game is a good thing.VrabelHead coaching record

When I have time I’ll try and do some research but I would be willing to bet over the last 5 years or so that the Saints have had a positive turnover ratio….until this year….
And, statistically, that's got to end. It's often just the bounce of the ball and look how it worked for us in 09 with Sharper leading the all time INT numbers.
